We're not deterred by the rain whilst working on the Rathbone Market redevelopment. The wet weather has meant we've had to put up a gazebo, which enables us to continue lining work on our rooftop garden pond, even in wet conditions.
The Rathbone Market project – to build a pond in an East London rooftop garden - is progressing well.
Kingcombe Aquacare is soon to start a new project at Rathbone Market in Canning Town, building a pond at podium level.

July 2011
The fisheries teams attended a lake near Gatwick to determine the levels of silt and assess the fish population for a pre -engineering survey. It soon became apparent the lake was home to a thriving population of Pumpkinseed sunfish (Lepomis gibbosus). This non native species introduced across Europe from North America out-competes native fish for food and habitat as well as feeding on our own native fish's eggs! It is likley we will be engaged to remove the fish in the near future. This will allow the native population to re-establish themselves, Improving the biodiversity of the lake. Importantly, the possibility of spreading the fish into surrounding waters will be minimised.
