Working for Swindon Borough Council in association Nicholas Pearson Associates we are the main contractor for the restoration of the lakes at Lydiard Park in Swindon. The project involves the removal of encroaching tree and scrub growth whilst retaining a selection of the better specimens, the construction of a 1.5 kilometre haul road and the removal of silt from two lakes. Later phases include planting with aquatic marginals and lilies as well as the construction of bridges and jetties. We have mobilised! You can't see the lake for the trees! With much of the timber removed, the lake edge is more apparent De-silting of the upper lake in progress Zibi gets to grips with the Lydiard silt! We were able to rescue this one with a quick pull from another excavator on site Revetting of the lake edge with hardwood posts and boards The posts for the revetment are installed.
